Keep your team on the same page by attaching important files to Confluence pages and Jira issues. Create a single source of truth that is always updated and without bloating your Atlassian instances.
No more guessing
Do you ever feel like you spend more time looking for files than actually doing your work? You’re not alone. Our Team Files app can help you save time. Up to 19%1 of your work hours, actually.
You can attach any files or entire folders from your preferred storage place (ex. SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) to your Confluence pages and Jira issues. This way, you and your team can access the relevant content in the right context.
The Team Files app shows an always updated live preview of the files attached to your pages and issues. Quickly view your Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF documents without depending on long filenames or small thumbnails to understand what’s there.
When you attach a folder, you’ll see a list of all the files and subfolders. You can preview files and edit your documents and browse subfolders. It’s like having a file manager for each page or issue to give you what you need, when and where you need it.
Whenever you need to add a file to an attached folder, just drag & drop it there. The file is uploaded to your connected storage place (ex. SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.), so it doesn’t take up space from your Confluence or Jira.
Your attached files and folders are always in sync with your connected storage place, so if you update them at one point, they will update everywhere. No more downloading and re-uploading and no more multiple versions of the same file.
With the Team Files app, you and your team can attach all the files you need to Confluence and Jira. You don’t have to worry about Atlassian storage limits or pay twice to store the same file.

Create and edit Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel files, with support for real-time collaboration.
Create and edit Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets files, with support for real-time collaboration.
Edit Open Document Format files (*.odt, *.ods, and *.odp) from open source editors like OpenOffice.
For Microsoft Office and Google Docs files, you and your team can work together on the same documents at the same time. You just need to enter edit mode, and you’re ready to create great content together. When you’re done, refresh your Confluence page or Jira issue view to see the updated file.
For when it’s time to start something new, you can also create Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint documents. If you have a Google Drive connected, Google Docs are available too.
Everything in one place
Every team has different needs, so you can connect just one folder or multiple ones to build your single source of truth with our Team Files app. It’s easy to set up, and it will save you a lot of time (no more hunting for files in different apps and platforms).
Control what you share
You can set permissions to tailor the app experience to your team's needs. Decide if other people can view the folders you connect and edit the content or download files. The permissions you set also apply to files and folders you attach to pages and issues.
You can connect folders from all the storage places (ex. SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) that you and your team use, including multiple accounts of the same service.
You can connect Box, Dropbox, Egnyte, FTP Servers, Google Drive (includes Team Drives support), OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint storages. Add one or all; it’s up to you and your team.
Team Files app includes a file manager and browser where you can: navigate the folders, create and edit documents, rename, download, and upload files. In Jira, you can also link files to existing issues.
Streamlined experience
We redesigned our Team Files app to make things as easy as possible for teams to get the benefits of a single source of truth.
You can install the app from Atlassian Marketplace with just a few clicks. You test the app with a free 30 days trial. You can cancel any time.
You don’t need to create an account to use Team Files in Confluence or Jira. Your email and personal data are safe. Just open the app, and it’s ready to use.
The first person using the app needs to connect one folder to enable attaching files and folders to your pages and issues. Everyone that comes after can use the same folder or add more if they want.
IT Admin mode = TRUE
As every company is unique and has its own rules and conventions, the Team Files app includes advanced settings so admins can structure how people use it.
By default, the Team Files app simplifies the authentication process, favoring ease of use with simplified permissions. However, Admins can require users to authenticate with an account with access to connected folders to better control how files are shared, viewed, and edited.
Admins can determine which storage places are available for the users to connect folders to projects and spaces.
Admins can control which Jira projects and Confluence spaces have access to the Team Files app.
Admins can specify which users/groups can use the Team Files app and who can connect folders to projects/spaces.
Privacy
When you connect a folder, it becomes accessible to your team, and everyone can attach files from there. To keep your privacy, the storage places you add are only available to you, and only you can connect more folders from it.
In the Team Files documentation, you can find details to take advantage of all the features provided, including step-by-step guides, screenshots, and videos.
Open documentationIf you can’t find what you need, or if you have a feature request, or have a bug to report, you can also contact our support team. We’re always happy to hear from you.
